Publication: Pre-Submission Gloucester City Plan

The City Council approved the 'Pre-Submission' Gloucester City Plan (GCP) under Regulation 19 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulation 2012 on Thursday 26th September 2019.

The GCP sits underneath the adopted Joint Core Strategy (JCS), allocating smaller-scale sites and addressing local issues and opportunities. As with the JCS, it covers the period 2011 to 2031. The consultation lasted between Thursday 7th November and Friday 14th February 2020.

The Pre-Submission GCP has now been submitted to the Secretary of State for independent examination. Through this process, an appointed Planning Inspector will examine the plan and consider whether it meets the 'tests of soundness' and is legally compliant.
